NASA Spec Miata 6/5/04
My first race *ever,* and boy, was it an exciting weekend! I did pretty well on the first day, consistently running 2nd fastest times in practice and testing on this completely new track. I qualified and finished 3rd place in the first race. Unfortunately, I had that position stripped from me by the race director due to a completely avoidable incident where a Pro7 driver initiated severe contact with me, resulting in his car being totaled. The fact that I was a rookie and was involved in contact, regardless of fault, was enough grounds for disqualification apparently. Welcome to racing, I guess. ;)
The Pro7 vs SM vs Wall incident. As you can see, the Pro7 driver (who wasn't even in my racing class) was either trying to scare me into lifting or simply didn't know where the bounds of his car were. In either case, the end result was not in favor of him. - QT (6.7MB) -
